Deadline's reporting there's still hope for a Fraggle Rock film as New Regency has just acquired the movie rights. The project had been set up at The Weinstein Company with the studio going as far as to tap Cory Edwards (Hoodwinked) to write and direct. And then earlier this year Edwards posted an update on his website, stating it was totally stalled:
