Sundance Video: 5 Minutes with 'Worst Enemy' Writer/Director Lake Bell

Though you won't see my press for them, the Sundance shorts are always fantastic. The folks who program shorts for Sundance do a tremendous job of selecting the right ones, because each year they seem to get better and better. This year we attended the opening night shorts program and fell in love with a short called 'Worst Enemy,' from actress-turned-filmmaker Lake Bell ('No Strings Attached,' 'What Happens in Vegas,' 'Childrens' Hospital').

'Worst Enemy' marks Bell's debut as a writer-director after co-starring in several major Hollywood films, and quite obviously on her way to starring in several more (seriously, she's the best part of 'No Strings Attached'). The short stars former SNL-er Michaela Watkins as a girl with all sorts of image and self-confidence issues who sort of dreams of being a normal girl with a normal life, but is way too neurotic to make anything work.

We sat down with Bell for five minutes to talk about the short, how she's handling the transition from Hollywood actress to filmmaker and more. Check it out after the jump.
