If you plan on being around Albuquerque, New Mexico any time between April and September of next year be on the look-out for costumed superheroes. Variety reports Marvel Studios will be taking The Avengers production to Albuquerque Studios where it will become the "largest production to shoot in New Mexico to date."Joss Whedon (who will not be directing the Buffy reboot) wrote the script and is helming The Avengers. Superheroes suiting up for the ensemble piece include Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury) are also signed up for the project.
Marvel Studios has set a May 4, 2012 release date.
