Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner will be joined by Famke Janssen in the thriller Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters set up at Paramount Pictures. Deadline says Janssen, known to X-Men fans as Jean Grey in the first three films of the franchise, will be playing the queen of the witches.Directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow), Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will - as the title states - find the siblings all grown up and working as bounty hunters out to kill the witches who kidnapped them as youngsters. D.W. Harper wrote the screenplay and Adam McKay and Will Ferrell are producing.
Filming is expected to start in early march. Paramount hasn't yet set a release date.
