Last night we were part of a select group of press who were able to see an advanced screening of Joe Wright's new film, 'Hanna,' starring Saoirse Ronan as a girl named Hanna who's raised from a very early age in the woods by her ex-CIA father (Eric Bana) to become a lethal assassin just like him. Unfortunately we're not allowed to say much else about the movie, though we were handed one brand-new clip before we left that highlights one of our favorite scenes from the film (watch it after the jump).
In it, Hanna is in the midst of escaping from a high-security CIA facility (and its lead agent, played by Cate Blanchett) ... and we'll stop there for fear of ruining too many surprises. What the scene does give you, though, is a great taste of the music from the Chemical Brothers, making their film-score debut on 'Hanna.' Trust us when we say they deliver something really special with this one, topping (in our opinion) the much-buzzed-about Daft Punk 'TRON: Legacy' score that hit at the end of 2010, as well as Trent Reznor's Oscar-nominated score for 'The Social Network.'
Oh yes, we just went there.
You can sample a spoonful of the first great film score of 2011 after the jump, and there will be plenty more where that came from when 'Hanna' hits theaters on April 8.
