Box Office Report: Contraband Opens in First

Last weekend, The Devil Inside possessed moviegoers, setting a new record for an early January release and scoring the third highest January opening overall. This weekend, Mark Wahlberg, a Beast, and a soulful musical tried to exorcise The Devil Inside from the top spot - and they did so with two out of three of the new releases performing better than anticipated (Joyful Noise did what we thought it would).
