Tom Cruise is returning to battle. According to Variety, the actor has signed on as the lead for the Doug Liman-directed 'All You Need is Kill.' Based on the graphic novel, the story follows a soldier involved in an alien war, who's forced to relive his last day over and over again (it's like 'Groundhog Day' with guns; or 'Source Code' with aliens). Cruise was reportedly not the first choice for the studio, who originally wanted Brad Pitt to star. The script also called for a younger actor, but it's already been "rewritten to make the character fit Cruise's age." Continue Reading
