Kermit says it's not easy being green, but he's never mentioned whether watching a green-centric film is easy to do. Meanwhile, Warner Bros is hoping audiences will fork over some green to see Green Lantern, the comic book-inspired film starring Ryan Reynolds. Hitting theaters on June 17th, Green Lantern finds Reynolds playing the first human to be recruited by the Green Lantern Corps, a "brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order." The film also features Blake Lively, Mark Strong, and Peter Sarsgaard, as well as the voices of Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
The trailers are trippy and have done a decent job of explaining the backstory to those of us who have no clue what Green Lantern's all about. But will audiences turn out for this intergalatic superhero film? We shall see...
