New Fright Night Clip with Colin Farrell

I like the cast, like the story, but I loved the original Fright Night so it's going to take a lot to win me over with this remake. But this new clip of Colin Farrell threatening his teenage neighbor (played by Anton Yelchin) is a step in the right direction.

In this new take on the 1985 vampire comedy/horror film, Farrell takes over the role of the sexy and dangerous vampire played by Chris Sarandon in the original movie. And although the main characters appear to be modeled after the '85 version, screenwriter Marti Noxon says this Fright Night is different in tone.

"I think it's very faithful to the original in terms of it sort of takes that idea and runs with it in a new direction. But a lot of the moments from the original film that I think people loved and would like to see again are in there," said Noxon in our exclusive interview. "Tonally it's quite different actually. Tonally, it's much scarier."
