The 14th season of Dancing With the Stars has been almost as evenly-matched as it has been entertaining thus far. Would the sixth week be any different?
Last week saw Maria Menounos and Derek Hough kiss, Melissa Gilbert return from a head injury, Chelsie Hightower almost fall out of her outfit and more.
With Gavin DeGraw eliminated, eight dancers remained to vie for the Mirror Ball. Who stepped up this week and who's going to be in jeopardy next?
Coming into the sixth week, the favorites (Menounos, Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins and William Levy) were looking to bolster their frontrunner status.
The remainder of the pack (Gilbert, Roshon Fegan, Jaleel White and Gladys Knight) looked to make a move or risk elimination. How did the stars all do?
White, for one, proved us wrong for starting to write off his chances.
On Monday's Motown-themed show, the actor stormed back, earning 29 points for a snappy cha cha with partner Kym Johnson to "Ain't Too Proud to Beg."
"You're back!" Len Goodman declared, and right he was.
Once again, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas were also at the top with 29 points. Their sassy salsa to "I Can't Get Next to You" left the judges breathless.
"I'm going to call you the midwife," joked Goodman, "[because] you keep on delivering." Okay, that was really lame, but also original ... nice one, Len.
William Levy's smoldering rumba with Cheryl Burke to Smokey Robinson's "Being with You" pushed the boundaries of taste for Dancing's family audience.
"Very filthy and I loved every minute of it," said Bruno Tonioli, obviously. "On behalf of all the women out there, I thank you," added Carrie Ann Inaba.
Maria Menuonos and Derek Hough's mostly smooth foxtrot had some missteps but was "a joy on the eyes," according to Len. They earned 26 points.
Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd scored 26 points for a smooth foxtrot to "The Way You Do the Things You Do." The rest? Not quite as strong.
All the couples are due back in the ballroom for another elimination on Tuesday. Here's a look at the full scoreboard from Monday night's performances:
- Jaleel White and Kym Johnson: 29
- Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas: 29
- William Levy and Cheryl Burke: 27
- Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd: 27
- Maria Menounos and Derek Hough: 26
- Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 24
- Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower: 23
