Melissa Leo took home the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in The Fighter, and when she delivered her acceptance speech, she kept the censors on their toes. "Those words, I apologize to anyone that they offend. There's a great deal of the English language that is in my vernacular," said Leo backstage in the press room after dropping the F-bomb on stage. "I really don't mean to offend, and probably a very inappropriate place to use that particular word in particular."
But her use of the not-ready-for-primetime word wasn't the only thing Leo was talking about backstage. Asked if her Oscar gown was inspired by the real woman, Alice Ward, she plays in The Fighter, Leo replied, "Well, the dress I'm wearing tonight I'd like to think that
